Some trauma experiences are so overwhelming that people can lose their ability to function. They are often too anxious to be alone and need a lot of support from their family and friends. This places a great strain on their close relationships. When the person is also the main breadwinner this increases the family's distress and imposes financial strain. Recovery takes time and funds are often exhausted. Medicare does not allow for a sufficient number of sessions for a full recovery to take place. This foundation provides appropriate therapy and supports people to full recovery.
We are different from other organisations in that we recognize that trauma and abuse can affect people of all ages, not only emotionally and physically but spiritually as well.
We support people in the community by providing ongoing, in-depth therapy for their recovery.
